Originally from Madisonville, KY, Dr. Dugger has been practicing Optometry in the Louisville community for over 4 years. He is the sole owner and eye doctor and Dr. Garner's Vision Center.
A 2008 graduate of Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, Dr. Dugger spent a year practicing in South Carolina until deciding to move back to his home state of Kentucky in the summer of 2009. Dr. Dugger is avid in educating his patients about their eyes, eye health and what to consider when making a glasses purchase. He feels patient and consumer education is paramount and that every doctor, including eye doctors, should be forthright when it comes to what is best for the patient.
Mainly specializing in primary eye care and contact lens management of all ages, Dr. Dugger also loves the satisfaction that comes with resolving a red eye, or catching a "lazy eye" in a 5 year old coming in for their first eye exam. With that, the eye is one of the only places in the body where you can observe blood vessels "in action" which can make it an indicator and in some cases a first sign of diabetes, high cholesterol or high blood pressure. Dr. Dugger has an interest in difficult to fit contact lenses, particularly scleral contact lenses. His philosophy is simple, if you are motivated to wear contact lenses, there is a contact lens that will provide the vision and function that you need.
Dr. Dugger lives in Jeffersontown with his beautiful wife Heather and amazingly sweet little girl, E. J. (Emily-June) He is an avid golfer loves a good game of pick-up basketball. Dr. Dugger and his family are members of Southeast Christian Church.
